Cape Argus Pick n Pay Tricycle and Junior Tour

Whether you ride a bicycle, tricycle or a pushbike, be sure to participate in the Mother city's coolest kids' cycling events: the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Tricycle and Junior Tours! The Tricycle and Junior Tours will take place the day before the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour, enabling out-of-town Cycle Tour participants to also enter their kids in this fun race.

Distance:
Tricycle Tour: 1,5km open to boys and girls under six (to be accompied by mom and/or dad)
Junior Tour: 5km and 10km open to boys and girls 6- 12 years old

Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour

Distance: 110km

Now in its 33rd year, the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour is the largest timed cycling event on earth.

The 2010 Cycle Tour takes place on 14 March and will see 35,000 cyclists from around the globe tackle the 110km scenic route. The route runs through some of the most beautiful suburbs and conservation areas around the Cape Peninsula, with hundreds of enthusiastic spectators lining the streets from start to finish.

Last year the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust, organisers of the Cycle Tour, raised R5.8-million for the event's two beneficiaries, Pedal Power Association (PPA) and the Rotary Club of Claremont.

Details:
If you are a member of a Cycling Club or Association affiliated to Cycling South Africa, their entry fee is R260. If you are a valid PPA member, you receive a R30 discount and your entry fee is R230.
If you do not belong to either a Club or Association affiliated to Cycling South Africa, then your entry fee is R295. This includes the cost of a "One day event licence".
International entrants pay R450 and African entrants pay R300.
